"The River of Crime" is an album by The Residents. It was originally a podcast series of five episodes. Each episode involved crime in some way, and the protagonist of each is a character who "Collects" crimes.

Trivia[]
- The original release of this album came as two blank cds, which you could burn the episodes onto when they were in downloadable form. Also, none of the instrumental versions of the episodes appeared, but instead a track only known as "River of Crime Instrumental".
- The Residents made a contest for artists to make a video of a minute and a half clip from "The Kid Who Collected Crime!". The winners had their videos shown in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, along with them being posted on the museum's website.
